Relay for Life and some randomness

This last weekend Eddy and I participated in Relay for Life on July 9-10.  Relay for Life is an event where there are a number of teams that have to have at least one person on the track walking for a full 24 hours.  This is put on by the cancer society and all the money that is made during the event is donated to cancer research.  It was enjoyable even though we had some walking early in the morning.

 This is Eddy and I with our team shirts on.

They had these bags with names of cancer survivors and they had these orange lights in them for the night all around the track.  They looked pretty cool.

On the bleachers they had these bags spelling the word 'cure'.  I thought it was really cool looking.  On the 9th we also went to Eddy's co-worker's wedding reception.  The treat that they served was this chocolate covered caramel apple.  It was very good and Eddy was able to bring one home on Monday.

All I can say is that they were really good.  I am also going to put up some random photos of ducks and some ducklings that live near our place.

Here again is the mom with the young ducklings as well as a mom with some older ducklings.  They could hear me coming so they were speeding up the canal so most pictures I got were of the backs since I wasn't walking faster then they were swimming.
