New Years and more

For New Years Eve we were back from Meerane and at our apartment.  Because we were planning on traveling more on the first we were one of those boring couples and didn't stay up until midnight.  Though all the people shooting off a bajillion fireworks I was woken up at midnight.  I don't normally write any resolutions down, but I thought of something that would be good to keep in mind and it is to move forward and don't look back.  I spend to much time dwelling on how things could have been it I had done this and this, but it never does me any good.  So my resolution for the year is to look forward on what is to come and enjoy my life everyday.

Eddy also had the week after New Years off so we went to Saarbrücken to visit a person that Eddy baptized on his mission.  It was a fun week.  We spent time walking around the city.  On the walk along the river we came across some trees that were pretty cool.  Here they are:

There was a whole line of these trees and you want to know the first thought I had when I saw these trees?  I looked and them and told Eddy that these trees reminded me of the Whomping Willow tree talked about in the Harry Potter books and featured in a couple of the movies.
