Iowa State Fair

On August 18th Eddy and I made the trip out to Des Moines to go to the Iowa State Fair.  I have never been and was really excited to go and try out the food and see the animals.  We tried a red velvet funnel cake, fried pinapple, and a fried Twinkie.  Here are some pictures:

 The butter sculptures.  These are different every year, these are Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  This one is snow white.

 This concrete ice cream was my favorite.  On the other side it said: Somewhere over the rainbow...Sherbert.  I thought that was pretty funny.

We went the last weekend and this was what the crowd looked like.  Tons of people.  We had a wonderful time but by the time we left we were tired with tired feet.
