Rothenburg ob der Tauber

On March the 12th we went to a city called Rothenburg ob der Tauber.  This is a cute little town with the old city wall still around the old city.  We were able to walk around the top of the wall for part of the city.  Then we walked around and looked at the old buildings and to a park area within the wall the was were the castle used to be though the castle itself no longer stands.  Here are the pictures:
This is us starting our walk around the wall.  We were able to walk around at least a third of the wall before what they have kept intact of the battlement ended.
A view from the top of the wall.
A view from the wall and you can see it continuing.
This is the moat though the moat is not a full as it would have been back when they needed such things.
Knock, Knock.  I guess no one is home.  This was an entrance into one of the towers.
 View from the top.
 Doesn't Eddy look excited.
This is part of the wall but you can see that you can no longer walk along the top because it is not fully intact.
We ate lunch in the moat.  Glad it didn't rain a lot or we might have been swimming.
This must be the spout to fill the moat.
You can see the difference in the stone.  One is obviously older because the weathering is different.
View from the castle area to another part of the city.
Eddy and I in the castle area.
The wall from the outside where we parked.
